Plug your new USB drive into the front/glovebox USB port or in your Tesla.

Why microSD cards?
The microSD drives we use are designed for Dashcam systems. These cards are rugged, built to withstand extreme heat and cold, which is perfect for being left in a car year round, and have a write speed that far surpasses the minimum Tesla requirement (4 MB/sec).
Regular USB flash drives cannot withstand the constant recording that takes place with Dashcam systems and will fail…probably when you need it the most. microSD cards, specifically those in this package, are up to the task and can handle the burden.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this package work with my Tesla?
Tesla vehicles that have AP2.5 hardware or later are compatible with recording video to a USB drive.
AP2.5 hardware started shipping on Tesla vehicles starting in August 2017, with a full conversion in October 2017.
USB recording is NOT compatible with AP1.0 or AP2.0 hardware (vehicles manufactured before August 2017).
