The Ignitor III features adaptive dwell, which maintains peak energy throughout the entire rpm range, reduces misfires and improves engine performance. Peak current level is reached just prior to spark for maximum energy without the heat buildup and increased coil performance and module reliability. They adjust spark timing at higher rpm to compensate for the inherent electronic delay and increase energy for quicker, easier starting by sensing startup. The PerTronix Flame-Thrower plug and play billet distributors with Ignitor III module have an integrated digital rev limiter with LED feedback for precise RPM setting and a memory safe function that stores settings eliminating unintended changes to the rev limit.
